The practical exams for CBSE Classes 10 and 12 will be held from January 1 to February 15, 2024, in all CBSE-affiliated schools. This indicates that the entire duration of these exams will be about 46 days.
There won’t be a useful answer book provided by the Board. Furthermore, the Board will not appoint an external examiner to oversee the administration of the class 10 practical. The Board declared that all arrangements would need to be made by the individual schools.
In the interim, the Board will engage external examiners to oversee the administration of the test and project evaluations for the Class 12 CBSE practical exam dates at each school. In order to provide a fair and accurate evaluation, the Board stipulated in the notice that practical examinations should be conducted in two or three sessions throughout the day if there are more than thirty students.
Practical Examinations/Project Assessments should always be held in two or three sessions per day, depending on the lab infrastructure facility available in the school, if the number of students is more than thirty, in order to ensure fair and reasonable assessment. For every student, an examination in the fine arts will always take place across two sessions, the board directed.
